Vietnamese Glass Tiger Shrimp Sashimi is peeled and deveined, butterfly meat, tail-on. Our butterfly-cut meats are frozen and ready to use in a wide range of culinary applications.

Shrimp Defrosting / Thawing Tips :

For frozen shrimp, the thawing time has to be tightly controlled. It should not be put at room temperature for too long.
The shrimp meat is relatively thin, special care is needed in thawing and cooking to avoid deteriorating the meat texture.
This is a ready-to-eat sashimi quality shrimp, after you take it out from the freezer, try soaking/dipping the shrimp in lightly salted ice water before consumption
As for frying, stir-frying, or boiling, you may blanch it in boiling water after being taken out from the freezer, then rinse it with ice-cold water, this will make the shrimp meat texture stay fresh and elastic.
